As required by the Constitution and Bylaws for the ASCE Mobile Branch, the ASCE Mobile Branch is providing a draft for comment of the updated ASCE Mobile Branch, Alabama Section Bylaws, last amended in 1973. The comment period begins on November 13, 2017 and will conclude at the regularly scheduled Branch meeting on December 13, 2017. If any member wishes to submit comments, such comments shall be submitted in writing no later than noon on December 13, 2017 to: ASCE Mobile Branch mobileasce@gmail.com or may be submitted at the meeting.
The goals of the updated bylaws are to align more with the ASCE Society and ASCE Alabama Section bylaws, and to reflect the typical operation of the Mobile Branch. A copy of the original 1973 Bylaws is also provided for your information.
The Mobile Branch will vote to adopt the updated bylaws barring significant changes due to received comments during its regular monthly meeting occurring on December 13, 2017. If adopted, the Branch will request the ASCE Alabama Section to vote on the bylaws during the Winter Section meeting occurring in the 1st Quarter of 2018.
